The basic objective of the activity of Nyírségvíz Zrt. to provide the consumers with good quality of drinking-water and to dispose and treat as much from the arising wastewaters as possible, through the effective capitalization of the available equipments. The long-run aims of the company are summarized in a vision and mission, that shall be realized based on the values.
Vision: The employees of the company, who consider their job as a profession, work on the improvement of customers’ and internal satisfaction, respectively the operation effectiveness by the continuous development of their activities.
Mission: Reaching the international level of competitiveness through the continuous strengthening of the company’s market position and goodwill, through the reduction of the environment-load, increasing the customers’ satisfaction and the trust towards our services.
Values: Solidity, constructiveness, future-awareness, consequency, endurance, solidarity.
In the interest of the realization of the strategy, the company has worked out, introduced and operates such an Integrated Control System (ICS / IIR), in that, the quality of products and services wants to satisfy the hidden customer demands over the law prescriptions and EU-guidelines. Nyírségvíz has introduced the Total Quality Management (TQM) based management philosophy, that concentrates the powers of the organization towards the continuous development. Our TQM-based principles are:
Customer / consumer centrism: The company concentrates on the known and hidden demands of the external and internal buyers. During the communication with our buyers we discover their demands and the level of their satisfaction.
Process-centrism, continuous development, high quality: The organization has determined it’s processes, including the emphasized key-processes. The result of continuous development is the improvement of customers’ satisfaction, and the increase of performance level.
Development of human resources and internal satisfaction: The aim of the organization is to employ such colleagues, who are well and properly qualified, well-motivated, who can and want to develop; this shall be reached by trainings and proper motivation.
Scope-transfer, delegation, involvement: The management involves the employees into the decision and control processes, and uses the objective-breakdown as effective instrument of motivation. For the scope-transfer, the company publishes it’s objectives, and helps to purchase the necessary capabilities, respectively builds a mutual trust with the employees.
Commitment of the management: The company sets an example to the employees by the commitment towards quality, and creates such a working ambience, where the view of quality becomes an undividable part of working.
The operation of the company is held together by the integrated framework system, that’s parts are:

- Data and information framework system
- Quality and performance management framework system
Over the realization of the quality culture, the demands of the customers and the society make an environment-aware way of thinking necessary, according also to the professional demands:
• Using methods applied in the inland and international practice.
• Agreeing all laws, orders, prescriptions, national and EU-standards totally.
According to the environment-protective prescriptions, the company updates it’s processes during the cyclical audits.
• Nyírségvíz sets an example (in the area of environment-protection) to other water service companies, to the business partners and to the population.
• The company develops it’s environment-aware way of thinking, and makes it part of it’s main activity; this shall be realized towards the employees by continuous training and education.
• Nyírségvíz continuously evaluates the agreement to the laws.
• Nyírségvíz continuously reviews and optimizes the arise of wastes and their management, with special respect to water base-protection, selective waste collection, hazardous waste treatment, and waste recycling.
• Nyírségvíz Zrt. realizes a safer, healthier, cleaner working ambience, and supervises it’s maintenance.

The certified Integrated Control system (ICS / IIR) is a guarantee of reliable quality for the customers. Nevertheless, quality itself shall be assured by Nyírségvíz, by operating, controlling and documenting it’s processes according to the standards MSZ EN ISO 9001:2001 and MSZ EN ISO 14001:2005, and fixing all responsibilities and scopes. In the interest of the even better and better satisfaction of customers’ demands, hereby I oblige all my colleagues to keep all regulations of the Integrated Control Manual, the connected processes and background documents; I request all of them to make endeavours towards perfection, by capitalizing their creativeness.
