Water has played a determining role in the evolution of (human) life on Earth from the beginning, as people have settled down always near to waters. Assuring the water attendance of populated areas, later the disposal of sewerage belonged since the establishment of civilization always to responsible tasks. Nyírségvíz takes this heritage of responsibility; the company was founded as an assign of a former firm, based on the decision of the municipalities of the county center Nyíregyháza and further 29 settlements: This new economy organization is NYÍRSÉGVÍZ Nyíregyháza and Conurbation Water and Canalization Closed Shareholder Group. The company executes it’s tasks in this form, on a continuously expanding operation area. We wish to make the operation of our huge system of instruments and equipments more effective through conscientious work, modern technologies, human performance and expertise. So, in the year 2008 we attend already 235.000 perople with our services continuously. The availability of drinking-water in our operation area is practically full, the rate of canalization takes 62%. Our whole collective makes efforts, that the people living in the settlements attended by us shall get an adequate service, that is also a model of quality and thrift.
